Parents: Think twice about beating your child...

We've all heard the Russell Peter skits. If you haven't, I'll give you a summary. Basically, he wants parents, specifically white folks, to beat their kids because they're too "soft" on them. In more traditional times, it would be normal for immigrant parents to "beat" their kids in order to discipline, to command respect, or as punishment. As a child, I have been hit for doing a math equation incorrectly. However, this advice may not be suitable for these times, nor for white parents, who might want to rethink their disciplinary actions after reading this story.

In a case that took a turn for the worse, the Telegraph reports:
a boy has allegedly killed his father and another man at their Arizona home as they were coming home from work. According to police records reported by the Arizona Republic, the boy "is believed to have made ledgers and/or communicated in the form of writings about his intentions" if his father and stepmother continued to smack him.

The boy told a Child Protective Services official that "when he reached one thousand spankings . . . that would be his limit. [The boy] kept a tally of his spankings on a piece of paper."

Parents: kids can only take so much abuse. However, this kid may have been dropped one time too many because the thought of killing my parents has never crossed my mind, let alone at his age. Clearly, smacking him that many times and teaching the kid how to shoot a gun were factors that could have avoided this situation as a whole. On a side note, I'm never going to have kids.
